Our beer

The parent company Outromundo, Lda., Since its creation in 2003 has always stood out in Santa Maria with innovation, quality and friendliness. The owner of two well-known establishments in Santa Maria and beyond (A TRAVESSA and Beach Parque – Praia Formosa) came up with the idea of producing a craft beer a few years ago. Born in Munich – the beer capital of the world, it can be said that Marc Oliver had a passion for beer almost in his blood. Anyway, everything that started as a joke at first only for private consumption, became more serious when friends and customers were curious to taste the beer produced in Santa Maria. The success and appreciation did not take long, and so the decision was taken to take this passion to a more professional end, and in October 2020 the official production of “Nossa – Cerveja Artesanal de Santa Maria” began at the INCUBA facilities. +, the center of Santa Maria’s business development.

Still with a production capacity limited to 200L / week, an increase is being planned up to the first quarter from 2022 to 500L – 1000L weekly.

Base of OUR craft beer from Santa Maria are traditional German flavors like Lagers and Weizen (Wheat), but also the best known in the “Craft-Beer” market are IPAs, Belgian beers, and beers with a tropical and fruity touch like Azorean IPA or Raspberry Ale. I don't know which one I tried but I really liked it!

I have tried several of the Nossa brews and am very impressed. First I have to confess I am a lager and pilsner drinker and don't typically drink ales especially IPA. I found the Nossa IPAs to be complex and flavorful and superior to any of the unpalatable heavy overly hoppy - 'pine needles and grapefruit' IPAs my daughter and her friends drink in the states. My two favorite Nossa brews are the American IPA and one of the originals - the first one I ever had in fact and my favorite the Chocolate Wheat beer which is hard to find I hope they make more soon. I am hardly settling with the American IPA it is extremely drinkable and great with food which I can't say for any of the IPAs I've had which were actually made in America. I was thinking they should have named it Azorian IPA instead but Nossa already makes an Azorian IPA - but what's in a name. If you can find Nossa where you are buy some and try it you will not regret it.
